The practice of Qigong has been in existence for thousands of years in China. Qigong is the art of increasing and strengthening one's qi, or internal energy. There are many different styles of Qigong. Some styles train the practitioner to heal themselves, while other styles train to heal others.

The curriculum of Qigong classes taught at the academy includes Medical Qigong, Taoist Health Cultivation Qigong, Taiji Qigong, Buddhism Qigong and Martial Arts Qigong. All the techniques are organized based on the level of difficulty and selected to be taught based on the needs of human body in a specific season. For example, during winter time, more quiet and deep meditation will be taught to preserve and nurture energy while more physical and strong movement type of Qigong such as Yi Jin Jing will be taught in summer time.
